AI Automation Specialist

Full-Time • Fully Remote • $3,000–$4,000 USD / month • US healthcare company

The role

We are a US healthcare company looking for an AI-native individual to help our teams automate their day-today work. Our departments run on systems that do not talk to each other. You will connect them and build AI agents on top of them, so that work that is manual today happens automatically. You will work directly with our department managers. Together you identify where the time goes, decide what should be automated, and then you build it.

Systems you will work with

• EMR / EHR

• Telephone system (Dialpad)

• Messaging (Slack)

• Google Workspace

• QuickBooks

• Paychex (HR and payroll)

What you'll do

• Sit with department managers to map current processes and find the highest-value opportunities to automate

• Design and build AI agents that carry out those processes end to end

• Connect the systems above through APIs, webhooks, and integrations

• Build document processing and retrieval over operational and clinical records

• Set up evaluations and monitoring so agents are reliable in daily use, not just impressive in a demo

• Train staff on what you build and iterate based on how they actually use it

What we're looking for

• Genuinely AI-native – you use AI tools daily and have built agents that real people depend on

• 3+ years of software engineering experience

• Strong Python and/or TypeScript

• Hands-on with LLM APIs, tool calling, agent frameworks, RAG, and evaluation workflows

• Comfortable with REST APIs and webhooks, and with connecting systems that were never built to talk

• Able to turn a vague business problem into something shipped, with a manager as your partner rather than your supervisor

• Professional English, written and spoken

• 4+ hours of daily overlap with US Eastern time

Nice to have

• Healthcare experience: EHR APIs, HL7/FHIR, claims, HIPAA

• Workflow automation platforms

• Startup or small-team experience
