Java Team Leader

We are looking for an experienced Java Team Lead to lead a team of developers and drive the technical evolution of a large-scale enterprise application.

In this role, you will be responsible for technical leadership, architecture decisions, code quality, mentoring engineers, and ensuring the successful delivery of business-critical solutions. You will work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to define technical direction and implement scalable, maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of Java developers, providing technical guidance and supporting professional growth.
• Drive architectural decisions and ensure alignment with long-term product strategy.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, and technical planning.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and production support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and system improvements.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical debt.
• Support CI/CD processes and promote engineering best practices.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives, including migration towards microservices and cloud-native architectures.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Previous experience in a Technical Lead, Team Lead, or Senior Developer role with mentoring responsibilities.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Deep understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Docker and modern DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
• Experience leading technical discussions and making architecture decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar messaging platforms.
• Experience working with legacy systems and modernization initiatives.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience with JSP/Servlet-based applications and AngularJS integrations.
• Fluent English for communication with international teams.
